The new NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi monitor not only happens to be the best. It is the best. Proving that would be a lot easier. According to NEC, its producer, the NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi has a 91 percent NTSC color gamut and 93.3 percent coverage of the Adobe RGB color space. Needless to say, the 2.3 megapixel, 25.5 incher wide screen uses ColorComp and GammaComp to guarantee color precision.
GammaComp uses a 12-bit table to choose from up to 16.7 million colors from a palette of 68.5 billion while ColorComp create a uniform white level to the entire display screen. With color support of 16.7 million colors (24-bit), it is very obvious that the NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi is a top caliber LCD when it comes to color accuracy.
The NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi reaches its maximum resolution of 1920x1200 with contrast ratio of 800:1 contradicting to other LCD monitors that have 1000:1 ratio and a brightness of 400 nits. It also features the H-IPS or the Horizontal in Plane Switching module for that finer color imagery.
The new display includes a separable stand that is height adjustable with pivot, swivel, and tilt for that easy viewing pleasure without the neck strains and back cramps as users are able to comfortably sit on their couches while the display is titled to a relaxed position. And speaking of entertainment, the NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi also has a DVI-I, DVI-D, and VGA 15-pin sub video inputs for movie viewing pleasure.
