LG 42LGX

The LG 42LGX is just 1.8" in depth with a resolution of 1080p. It comes with a 50000:1 contrast ratio. There are 4 HDMI inputs with 3 at the back and one on the side. The recommended viewing distance is about 10 to 12 feet. This LCD TV gives detailed viewing scenes and the processor is able to handle most of the conversion from 480i to its native resolution rather well.

The black level is sufficient for giving a good overall viewing pleasure with an overall good color rendition and accuracy. There is almost negligible or no false contouring or mapping while viewing the LCD TV.

Its antiglare screen helps in reducing the contrast and black level. It also has 2 component RGB 15 pin input ports for connecting computer output. There is provision for connecting your digital USB devices like cameras, flash drives through a USB 2.0 jack provided. You can listen to MP3 songs as well as view JPEG photos on the fly.

The finish is glossy black and it comes with an almost hard to make out speaker system. The speakers are so well concealed which makes them virtually invisible to the eye. It's fitted with an intelligent sensor which provides optimal settings for brightness and color automatically.

The bottom portion of the LCD TV is rather large with a circular light centered in the middle, which could be used for holding the circuitry for the LCD. Good detail had been paid in designing the remote control and the menu system.

The remote control as well as the semi transparent menu is very easy to use. There is a sensor- touch power button in the light at the bottom, which is a very cool feature.
